Deep ruby red in color, with aromas reminiscent of red and black berries and cherries, with a hint of pepper in the background. This wine has a medium density that leaves a silky softness in the mouth. Gentle tannins give this wine a distinctive character while maintaining harmony and balance. It is best served at a temperature of 18-20°C with red meat dishes, lamb, game with truffles, mature cheeses, and Istrian prosciutto.
The vineyards of the San Martino winery are located on the eastern coast of Istria near the village of Sveti Martin, close to Labin. At an altitude ranging from 270 to 330 m, they are surrounded by dense acacia forests, offering a beautiful view of the old town of Labin and Učka. The result of the work and efforts of generations in the Vretenar family is excellent fruit wines of exceptional structural balance and flavor.
