Specific to the Labin area, these „krafi“ will delight you with their flavor! Traditionally served during holidays and special occasions, we prepare them just like our grandmothers did, using homemade pasta filled with cheese and raisins. Serve them with grated cheese as a warm appetizer, with chicken stew as a main course, or as a dessert with vanilla or orange sauce, breadcrumbs, or cinnamon and butter!
Instructions for consumption: heat the donuts for two minutes in salted boiling water. Serve with a little grated extra hard cheese as a warm appetizer, with chicken stew as a main course, or with various sauces as a dessert (vanilla or orange sauces, butter and cinnamon crumbs).
BOILED KRAFI - A TRADITIONAL ISTRIAN DISH FROM LABIN AREA
Ready made dish - cooked pasta with eggs stuffed with sweet cheese filling for 2+ servings (9 pieces).
Ingredients: 60% cheese filling [young cow's cheese 21% of pasteurized cow's MILK, EGG, raisins, butter (contains MILK), semi-hard cow's cheese 12% (pasteurized MILK, rennet, salt, dairy cultures, enzyme: lysozyme from EGGS), extra hard cow's cheese 7% (pasteurized whole cow's milk MILK, dairy cultures, rennet, salt, preservative: lysozyme from EGGS, hardener: calcium chloride), sugar, lemon zest, bread crumbs, WHEAT flour, water, yeast, salt), vanilla sugar (sugar, aroma: vanillin), strong alcoholic beverage 37,5% vol. alk. (demineralized water, refined ethyl alcohol, sugar, flavoring, coloring: caramel).], WHEAT FLOUR, water, EGGS 9%, sunflower oil, salt.
