This wine, with an intense ruby red color and aroma reminiscent of ripe red fruits infused with grassy notes, leaves a velvety softness on the palate, with gentle tannins that give it character and personality while maintaining harmony and balance. The wine has a rich body, it is long-lasting, and beautifully balanced. The finish is aromatic, with a pleasant and persistent retro taste. It is best served at a temperature of 18°C, alongside robust red meat dishes, Istrian prosciutto, and medium-structured cheeses.
The vineyards of the San Martino winery are located on the eastern coast of Istria near the village of Sveti Martin, close to Labin. At an altitude ranging from 270 to 330 m, they are surrounded by dense acacia forests, offering a beautiful view of the old town of Labin and Učka. The result of the work and efforts of generations in the Vretenar family is excellent fruit wines of exceptional structural balance and flavor.
